Tara Moneka is a Black Iraqi artist and singer whose music bridges cultures, traditions, and generations. Born in Baghdad and raised in a Sufi family, she draws from Afro-Sufi, Arabic, and Swahili influences to create a sound that blends Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues, Maqam, and Afrobeat. Singing in multiple languages, Tara celebrates music as a universal language of connection. As the lead of Dijlah, an all-women band named after the Tigris River, she uses her art to amplify women’s voices and cultural dialogue.

In August 2026, Tara will release her debut album BIS, a powerful fusion of her Arabic and African identities—uniting two musical worlds for the first time in one groundbreaking project.

 

Like a maple leaf in a gust above the prairies, Kerrville Newfolk Winner Taylor Abrahamse blissfully glides above the borders of song, gender & genre with his/her deftly crafted, hook-laden hammerclaw pop. Out of love for Taylor's writing, Eddie Kramer (Hendrix, The Beatles, etc), insisted on working together to produce/mix his acclaimed debut album.

The Barrel Boys are a Canadian bluegrass powerhouse featuring rich 3 and 4 part vocal harmonies, flashy instrumental picking, and a fun, down-to-earth stage presence. Their music draws from the deep wells of traditional bluegrass and Appalachian old-time, but what sets them apart is their heartfelt songwriting and storytelling.

The Devin Cuddy Band is a Juno-Nominated, Toronto-based roots-country band, led by pianist and singer-songwriter Devin Cuddy (son of Blue Rodeo’s Jim Cuddy). They are recognized for their unique blend of New Orleans blues and country.  His latest album was released April 17, 2026.

The Young Novelists create contemporary folk songs that marry effortless harmonies with darkly poetic lyrics and exquisitely crafted hooks. Tocani is a multidisciplinary project inspired by pre-Hispanic cultures of the Americas. Anchored in acoustic instruments, Tocani began with the Mexica instruments Huehuetl and Teponaztli, incorporating instruments; the marimba, shakers, ocarinas, electric bass, megaphone. This blend of ancient and modern elements fuels their exploration of sounds, rhythms, and innovative compositions.

Hailing from Kelowna, Canada, Under the Rocks has emerged from a city with no other bluegrass acts to become one of Canada’s premier bluegrass bands.
