About the Event

Join Folk Canada, Small World Music, and Tempi, alongside Canadian artists Inn Echo, Basset, and Mia Kelly, and Nico Paulo for special showcases and networking events aimed at strengthening the long-standing cultural and touring relationship between Canada and Australia, with a special delegation from Denmark.

This event offers an opportunity to:

  • Discover Canadian artists actively exploring the Australian market

  • Connect directly with Folk Canada and Canadian artist teams

  • Explore international future touring, showcasing, and collaboration opportunities

With special thanks to our colleagues at Sounds Australia and the Port Fairy Folk Festival for helping bring this event together.

About the Showcase Artists

Inn Echo

Trad music turned on its head—rhythmic, dynamic, and endlessly evolving, like a late-night session that never wants to end.

Mia Kelly

A luminous voice paired with raw, emotionally driven songwriting, weaving folk, rock, and blues into a captivating live performance.

Basset

Folk duo with stunning harmonies reminiscent of early folk revival....think Simon and Garfunkel or Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.

Nico Paulo

Nico Paulo is a Portuguese-Canadian musician and visual artist whose 2023 self-titled debut and 2025 EP Interval_o pair melodically dynamic songwriting with lush pop and ambient minimalism.  "Her gently forceful folk....takes on a newfound Fleet Foxesian lushness" - NOW Magazine
