Thank you for your interest in becoming a candidate for election to the Folk Canada Board of Directors. Election to the board represents an opportunity to serve the Canadian folk community, develop new relationships, and to champion and guide the organization into the future.

Please read the “What to Expect if You’re Elected” document before submitting your application. Individuals who put themselves forward as nominees may be requested to participate in a brief interview with our nominating committee. Once the slate of nominees is selected, they will stand for election by the Folk Canada membership through electronic ballot. Elected or acclaimed directors will begin their term when election results are ratified at the 2026 Folk Canada Annual General Meeting with terms concluding with the 2029 AGM. For 2025, Folk Canada is looking to fill six board positions through this process.

The deadline for nomination is June 9, 2026.
