Adrian Sutherland has been recognized internationally at the World Entertainment Awards in Los Angeles. On Friday, January 31, he won “Best Americana Album” for his new album “Precious Diamonds” – marking his first-ever win for sound recordings after releasing five full-length albums since 2013. The same week, he was also named one of 15 finalists for the prestigious 2025 Johanna Metcalf Performing Arts Prizes. One of the largest unrestricted prizes for artists in Ontario, it recognizes mid-career individuals who have made an impact in their field, while showing great promise in the ongoing pursuit of their practices.
No stranger to accolades for his multi-award-winning music videos… Adrian’s latest video “Precious” is in Official Selection at the 2025 Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival. "Precious" is a fun and engaging throwback to Alanis Morissette’s iconic "Ironic" video from 1996, and pays homage to all that is precious: the next generation, the cycle of life, future land guardians, and hope for the future.
