Angela Saini: Gayatri Mantra

Believed to have the power to enlighten the mind and awaken the soul, the Gayatri Mantra is said to enhance focus, aid in physical healing, and act as a shield against negativity. One of the most known and universal mantras from the ancient vedic texts, it has been chanted for more than 4000 years, and Angela Saini has just released her own folk version. This is the second single from her upcoming album for release later this year, embracing her Indian heritage and promoting a sense of peace and calm for a tumultuous world. There are many translations of this ancient prayer, and here is her favourite:
"Divine mother, may your pure divine light illuminate all realms (physical, mental and spiritual) of our being. Please expel any darkness from our hearts and bestow upon us true knowledge."
