Bremner Fletcher: Christmas Dream of New Orleans

I'm a Canadian singer-songwriter who had the pleasure of living in New Orleans for years. Right now, in New Orleans, Night-Scented Jasmine and Sweet-Olive trees are filling the streets with perfume. However, I'm looking out in Montreal and seeing snow and ice... and thinking about Christmas. The first single off my upcoming acoustic folk album launched is an upbeat, swinging, (slightly dark) Christmas song called ‘Christmas Dream of New Orleans’. I wanted to write a fun, and a little bit dark, holiday song that captured the strange, wonderful differences between the Crescent City and everywhere else in North America. It starts slow, then it builds to the feel of a traditional New Orleans Street Party.
