The Rest of My Life details intense pain and grief. Being bed ridden from a back injury immediately after the loss of his Mother, Close Kicks voices his struggles. There's a feeling of exhaustion and helplessness while also expressing how sorrow lingers and consumes time. Despite the suffering, the repeated vow of “for the rest of my life” signals his deep commitment to carrying that love and light forward as a source of strength.
