'Field Notes' is the fifteenth studio album from Dave Gunning. Recorded outdoors beneath a gumtree in Point Lonsdale, Australia, the sessions used vintage equipment and a live-to-tape approach, with two microphones hung in the trees to capture the performances. The album gathers songs written over the past four years reflecting on love, loss, resilience, and the state of the world. Gunning was invited to Australia by songwriters and producers Mark Lang and Nick Huggins to make the record. Audiences can catch him on tour now through May.
