Dean Workman: Nothing to Prove

Australian-born, Ontario-based folk singer-songwriter Dean Workman has released his new single, “Nothing to Prove.”

Rooted in lived experience, plainspoken honesty, and the quiet wisdom that comes with time, the song carries the reflective, personal tone that runs through much of Dean’s writing.

The song was recorded at Lincoln County Social Club in Toronto, engineered and produced by John Dinsmore, and mastered by Phil Demetro. It follows Dean’s 2025 album Don’t Overthink It and continues the path toward his upcoming Nothing to Prove album, planned for release later in 2026.

Dean recently performed at the 2026 Mariposa Folk Festival, including solo sets and songwriter workshops, and continues to build momentum as a Canadian folk artist with Australian roots and a lifetime of stories behind the songs.
