Release: September 26

Montreal-born singer-songwriter Ema Jean unveils her latest original single, “Kiss the Sun,” a meditative and moving exploration of life’s quieter rhythms. Set against a backdrop of warm, folk-inspired instrumentation, the song invites listeners to slow down, tune in, and rediscover what it means to be human in an increasingly fast-paced world.

At its core, “Kiss the Sun” is an ode to simplicity. It gently challenges the glorification of hustle culture, offering instead a reminder that peace, meaning, and joy are found not in productivity—but in presence. The sun becomes both muse and metaphor: a symbol of life, healing, and the quiet power of nature that calls us back to ourselves.

Lyrically, “Kiss the Sun” touches on themes of altruistic love, humility, and the comfort of shared experience. It speaks to the beauty of interdependence—of trusting and leaning into one another, of feeling less alone through a sense of community and connection.

The song’s accompanying music video, created with a grassroots approach, visually mirrors its essence—evoking nostalgia while grounding viewers in the present moment. Inspired by childhood summers in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, Ema Jean and her sister Nicola Saffren set out to capture that hazy, end-of-summer feeling of suspended time—when days stretch endlessly and life feels beautifully unhurried.

The release of “Kiss the Sun” represents a turning point in Ema Jean’s artistic journey, ushering in a new era defined by clarity of purpose and a return to her folk roots.

“Kiss the Sun” will be available for purchase and pre-save as of September 9th, 2025 via www.emajeanmusic.com and will be released to all major streaming platforms on September 26th, 2025.
