Imaginary Expedition (imaginaryexpedition.com) is a classically-informed, contemporary, folk duo known for precise counterpoint, snug harmony, and cozy vibes. A collaboration between New-England-Conservatory–educated composer Glyph Greenleaf, and vocalist Victoria Dobbs, who combine the intricate structures and melodies of classical and early music with familiar folk harmony for a result that’s both musically challenging, and easy to listen to. Elevating the layered vocals, Glyph turns traditional guitar sideways and showcases his own lap-based classical guitar technique, then mesmerizes on a modern, three-octave recorder. Vivid lyrics and edge-of-your-seat storytelling from these Toronto-based songwriters and sweethearts send hushes over house concerts and halls, while emitting unmistakable echos of the folk revival era. So, take off your shoes, take a deep breath, and let the music lead you on an Imaginary Expedition.

Jonathan Davies (jonathandavies.ca) is a Toronto-based, bilingual singer-songwriter who started early on the piano and plays to this day. He was introduced to the works of great composers - Vaughan Williams, Villa Lobos, Gershwin - as a small child. As a young adult he discovered, through campus radio and small, struggling bars and cafes, great musicians working away in relative obscurity. He has received their works as selfless gifts and aspires to develop his craft with honesty and dedication, pursuing music appreciation more than accomplishment.

The artists will collaborate on each other's songs, adding tasteful accompaniment and bold three-part vocal harmony.
