Imaginary Expedition: Winter Lullaby

Release: April 10, 2026 on all streaming platforms (except Spotify).

“Winter Lullaby” is an original song savouring the longest nights of the year, when a lost love returns in dreams, written and performed by Toronto indie folk duo Imaginary Expedition.

This collaboration between Victoria Dobbs and Glyph Greenleaf comes as part of their two-song EP (or "double single") Winter Lullaby + The Ones Who Are Gone, which explores different ways people carry the memories of those they’ve lost. Both songs feature close vocal harmony with contrapuntal melodies woven between the two voices and classical guitar, and captures a sound the duo has been developing since they began performing together in 2024.

The project brings together two distinct musical paths: Glyph’s training in composition, classical piano, and early music, and Victoria’s background in pop-rock songwriting. Their songs are shaped through a shared process of exploration, each part written and reworked until they both love it. The sound created is something neither would have reached on their own. It’s narrative-driven, close-harmony folk with classical sensibility at its core.

The cover art is mixed media, with post-impressionistic psychedelic crayon drawings by Glyph Greenleaf, and graphic design by Victoria Dobbs.
