Irish Millie: Between Then and Now

ree

Between Then and Now is a collection of songs that capture the messy magic of growing up — falling in and out of love, losing pieces of yourself, and finding something even better in the cracks. Each track tells a story, drawn from late-night conversations, wide-open stages, and quiet moments no one else saw.

Irish Millie is an 18-year-old fiddle player, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Peterborough, Ontario. She has toured extensively across Canada, the USA, and Europe, captivating audiences with her genre-blending sound rooted in East Coast, Bluegrass, and Contemporary Trad music.

Her debut album, Thirteen, earned her a 2022 Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Young Performer of the Year. She received the same nomination again in 2023 for her work with her band The Receivers, and in 2024 for her EP The Trilogy. Most recently, her second full-length album GRACE received two more CFMA nominations, cementing her reputation as one of Canada’s most exciting young artists.

Named the Peterborough Folk Festival’s 2023 Emerging Artist of the Year, Irish Millie continues to push the boundaries of traditional music. GRACE explored the intersection of Folk and EDM, while her newly released EP, Between Then and Now, offers an intimate look at her evolving sound. This EP and all of her music is available on Bandcamp and all streaming platforms.
