""No Place I'd Rather Be"" is about the love of my life, my woman, my partner, Méla.
It was written very spontaneously on a lazy Monday night on Jan 2nd 2022. I was sitting on the couch strumming my guitar beside my girlfriend who was laying reading a book when I suddenly came up with an interesting riff on the guitar. I showed her and she liked it. The lyrics started to form immediately in my mind and I silently began to write. When it was done, I asked her if she would like to hear what I had written. She said, yes and I performed it for her right then and there. She cried.
This is where it came from: Being with Méla is a pure state of happiness and contentment. Every moment with her is special but waking up beside her is incomparable. I always wake up before her and lie there waiting for her to awaken. When the moment comes and she opens her eyes, she looks at me with the biggest smile and a giggle. EVERY SINGLE TIME! And every single time I know, there is no place I’d rather be.
I hope you are in the place you should be too.
