Following her summer single “Past Life,” Justine Giles returns with “Parts Of Me,” a confessional ballad marking a new chapter in her songwriting. Produced by Mark Troyer and featuring pianist Sarah Houston, the song blends subtle, atmospheric arrangements with Giles’ emotive vocals, exploring her inner critic, inner child, and inner parent—giving voice to parts of herself she hasn’t shared before. Supported by Calgary Arts Development, Giles was able to experiment with cinematic dynamics and intricate arrangements, shaping the song into an intimate, multi-layered listening experience.
Since moving from Toronto to Calgary in 2019, Justine has earned acclaim as Calgary’s Solo Artist of the Year and her latest EP ""Another Chance"" reached the Earshot National Folk and Roots Top 10 (2024).
A mentor and advocate for female empowerment, Justine channels honesty and healing through her music. With intimate storytelling and production that follows in the footsteps of singer-songwriters like Madi Diaz and Lizzy McAlpine—and honoring the spirit of Sarah McLachlan and the ’90s Lilith Fair—“Parts Of Me” further cements her place among Canada’s most promising singer-songwriters.
