Edmonton alt-folk artist Kaeley Jade has released her sophomore album, The Great Unknown. Recorded with JUNO-award winning producer Hill Kourkoutis, the album explores themes of change and resilience.
TOUR DATES:
Apr 24 - The Aviary - Edmonton, AB
May 2 - Emmanuel United - Waterloo, ON
May 3 - Second Wedge Brewing Co. - Uxbridge, ON
May 5 - Departure - Toronto, ON
“In writing The Great Unknown, I was interested in exploring the turning points we face in life, or the watershed moments where a single decision can change us irrevocably. As I moved through a period of intense change and growing pains in my early twenties, I found myself drawn to creating a more ragged, authentic sound that could hold that kind of self-questioning. The Great Unknown emerged as an acknowledgement of existential dread, interpersonal conflict, and the crisis of our planet, while learning how to embrace the messy beauty of growing through it all.”
Hot off the conclusion of an 11-date Home Routes tour in Alberta and British Columbia, Kaeley will be celebrating the release with a full-band album release show in Edmonton on April 24th at The Aviary, and will be capping off her spring tour with dates in Waterloo, ON on May 2nd, Uxbridge, ON May 3rd, and at Departure in Toronto on May 5th.
