Her early years growing up on a small farm in B.C., led to a career as a competitive dressage rider and coach, before she was pulled back into the musical fold.

Lightfoot’s sound is raw and honest, with all the influences of those early years, tempered with life lessons, the joys and the sorrows, woven through story into her own unique, emotive, style.

Now calling Alberta home, the singer- songwriter, leans heavily on what she knows best. Matters of the heart, call of the land, and the bonds that bind one to another, in her often haunting, vocals. Lightfoot pulls the listener away on an emotional journey, leaving them feeling as if she was channelling their own story, all along.
