Malia Rogers: Sunlight (A Good Death)

Single Release Show Wednesday, March 11, 2026

6:00pm Doors - 7:00pm Show Art House Cafe - Ottawa, ON

Nova Scotia-raised, Ottawa-based singer-songwriter Malia Rogers returns with “Sunlight (A Good Death),” a dynamic, celtic-influenced folk single celebrating the interconnectedness of grief and love. Written on Ireland's coast on the anniversary of her grandfather's passing, “Sunlight"" moves from intimate to vast, with a cathartic breakdown, gang vocals and vivid, scenic imagery. It’s a perfect fit for lovers of yearning, expansive folk like The Oh Hellos, Noah Kahan, and Aoife O’Donovan - but more importantly, for anyone whose loved ones live on inside them.

Catch “Sunlight (A Good Death)” live at Art House in Ottawa on March 11, followed by a grief & love themed open stage. All proceeds to Bereaved Families of Ottawa.

Audiences are also invited to contribute virtually to an upcoming found-footage music video honouring loved ones no longer with us. Submissions will be open until March 17.
