The Official Video for Matt Zaddy's new single 'Far Too Long' is out now!
Working with longtime collaborator Sam Burrows, Zaddy had this to say about the shoot and the video itself:
"Sam and I filmed the video in my favourite neighbourhood in Mississauga: Streetsville. We wanted to take a very personal approach to the video, to shoot in some of my favourite surroundings, but also places where I could see myself having a meaningful conversation; either with a good friend, or with myself. I'm sure most of us have places where we talk to ourselves, about the things we worry about, where we're going, and where we hope to end up.
"We started the shoot at Cuchulainn's Irish Pub, where I've hosted open mic / jam nights for 10+ years. This was actually the place I rediscovered myself musically, and transitioned from writing tech death metal to folk music. Can't get much more familiar than that. Then, we shot in my vehicle, which I'm sure for most people is where they talk to themselves. I know it is for me. Driving is often my alone time. And lastly, in Streetsville Memorial Park, a place I've got for many a winter walk.
"I think the tone of the song really suited the black & white video, playing heavily into the themes of the tune. I could not be happier with how it turned out."
