Nadine Altounji: I Wanna Be Free

ree

Montreal-based singer-songwriter Nadine Altounji will release her new single I Wanna Be Free, featuring Senegalese guitarist and vocalist Assane Seck, on September 5, 2025.

Their second collaboration blends folk-inspired songwriting with Senegalese percussion, bringing together Nadine’s oud and voice with Assane’s guitar and vocals, supported by Christian Obam on bass.

Sung in English and Wolof, I Wanna Be Free is both a love song and a song of liberation, carrying themes of connection, resilience, and freedom. Mixed by acclaimed artist and producer Cécile Doo-Kingué, the single celebrates music’s power to bring voices and traditions together.
