CINARS, FolQuébec, Folk Canada, Global Toronto Music Festival, International Indigenous Music Summit, Mundial Montréal, and Sunfest are once again coming together at WOMEX under the Northern Turtle Island Collective (NTI) banner. The collective is presenting professional networking activities and artist showcases on-site, continuing its mission of building and strengthening connections between Canada, Quebec, and the rest of the world.

The Collective’s Booth Alley: A Daily Highlight
From Wednesday, October 23 to Saturday, October 26, be sure to visit the Northern Turtle Island Alley at booths Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4-Z5-X1-X3-V1-W1 every day! On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the collective and its partners will host networking cocktails from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., offering a great chance to meet everyone.

It’s an ideal way to kick off the week!

For the third consecutive year, the NTI Collective, in collaboration with the Délégation générale du Québec à Londres, invites you to an informal gathering on Tuesday evening. Before diving into the busy WOMEX schedule, this barbecue will give the 70+ members of the Canadian and Quebec delegation the chance to connect and network with local and international peers in a laid-back atmosphere.
Join us at 6 p.m. at Oast House Manchester for a barbecue featuring Middle Eastern and Mediterranean-inspired grilled meats, accompanied by tunes from DJ William C. From 7 p.m., the evening will feature showcases from artists like Just Prince, Kazdoura, Iskwē, Andy Rubal, JoSH, and Mélisande, creating an unforgettable night of musical camaraderie.

On October 25, join the Northern Turtle Island Collective for two OFFWOMEX showcases. First, É.T.É will bring a modern and energetic take on traditional Quebec music, blending folk, jazz, progressive rock, and classical influences. Following É.T.É, Innu singer-songwriter Shauit will share heartfelt stories through his unique fusion of folk, roots, and reggae, capturing the complexity and beauty of the Innu nation.
