Pressgang Mutiny @ Brampton Folk Club

The next Friday Folk Night concert will be October 24th, when we present Sea Shanties with Pressgang Mutiny. Pressgang Mutiny are Toronto's Shantymen, dedicated to traveling the globe to discover shanties and works songs and the people who sing them. A quartet of dynamic musicians and tall ship sailors, they have toured extensively across the East Coasts of Canada and the US and performed at festivals in the UK and Europe. Bring your voices and sing Sea Shanties from all around the world! Opening act: John and Tina Burton.


Here is the rest of this season’s exciting line-up:

  • December 5th - “A Seasonal Singalong” featuring members of The Brampton Folk Club

  • January 30th - Celtic Fiddle and Song with Maggie’s Wake

  • February 27th - Fiddle Supergroup Portage

  • March 27th – Exciting Bluegrass Band The Slocan Ramblers

  • April 24th - “Sing into Spring” with Leah Holtom and Gathering Sparks 

  • Saturday, May 23rd - Brampton Folk Club Annual Showcase Concert


The concert will be held Sanderson Hall, in the upper level of St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. South, Brampton. It runs from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Come hungry and enjoy our yummy desserts and drinks!


Advance tickets can be purchased for $22:

-  from the City Box Office or in person at the Rose Theatre after noon on weekdays.

- from St. Paul’s United Church (30 Main St. South) in person Monday mornings, Friday mornings, or all day Wednesdays.  


Advanced tickets can also be reserved through the Brampton Folk Club's website or by calling the folk club hotline at 647-233-3655 or by emailing us at info@bramptonfolk.ca.


Tickets will also be available for purchase for $25 on the day at the door. We accept cash, cheque or e-transfer to bramptonfolk@sympatico.ca.


The concert is wheelchair accessible and free parking is available at City Hall as well as the condo at 6 John St across from the church.
