Rachella Wred: Fruity Fingers

Indie-folk artist Rachella Wred shares another taste of her debut record, "Fruity Fingers", off Leave The Light On, out April 25, 2025. The west coast native turned Montreal transplant continues her sonic evolution, blending intimate folk storytelling with the textural depth that made her previous singles "November" and "Bend & Break" connect with growing audiences across Eastern Canada. On this latest offering, Wred's distinctive vocal presence floats above delicate instrumentation, creating a soundscape both familiar and refreshingly original.

Rachella shares, “What originally sparked the idea for this song was the mixing of different senses - playing with the sweet taste of a warm touch of sunlight, like fruit juice. It’s funny, I started writing it for a ‘blocked writers’ writing exercise as a light-hearted ditty about casually dating to try to get pen to paper, and it quickly became the song I have the most fun playing live.”

Rachella Wred is a West Coast transplant currently living in Montreal, Canada. Folk music and songwriting have given her the space to explore storytelling through music.
