Rebekah Hawker: Twenty-Nine

ree

To me, Twenty-Nine is like a reversible jacket and depending on the weather, or your mood, you might gravitate toward one version over the other. And that’s ok with me.”

With the release of “Twenty-Nine (the cowboy version)”, Rebekah Hawker brings new life to a fan-favourite from her Quit My Habit EP, paired with a behind-the-scenes video filmed by Sally Cinnamon during the 2024 studio sessions.

Featuring favourite collaborators Will Crann, Emma Whale, Stu Weinberg, and Julian Psihogios, the video captures the warmth, laughter, and creative spark behind the song’s rebirth. Written in the year leading up to her 30th birthday, Twenty-Nine reflects on loss, self-doubt, and the strange joy of growing older, now with a wink and a bit more oomph.
