Steven Taetz's new soundtrack for the season includes exciting originals and beautiful takes on Christmas classics. Recorded with Daniel Ledwell and including JUNO-recognized collaborators, this new project blends the sounds of vintage roots, early rock, motown, and jazz. The album channels all the bright optimism of Christmas towards what is the most important element of the holiday season, in life, and especially in this season: Love.
Steven has spent the last couple years touring his last contemporary roots album Late Bloom, including an opening set for Blue Rodeo at Badlands Amphitheatre Drumheller, and support for Robert Plant & Allison Krauss at Ottawa Bluesfest mainstage, as well as recent nominations from the Canadian Folk Music Awards (Best Emerging Artist) and Ontario Folk Music Awards (Album of the Year). This new album promises to make your Christmas season merry and bright, fun for all ages.
