The Big Bad Jug Band: Big Bad Demo

Writer: Folk CanadaFolk Canada

On Friday October 18th, THE BIG BAD JUG BAND'S BIG BAD DEMO is live on Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube, Deezer, etc. Featuring 4 original tunes from the minds of genuine maple lunatics.

The Big Bad Jug Band is a post-jug quintet from Orillia and Hamilton, Ontario. They write modern songs in the styles of both yesteryear and futureyear.

STREAM IN THEIR ENTIRETY FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN PHONE:

DON'T TOUCH MY STUFF: The lead single. A rag inspired by an old roommate and her penchant for personal destruction.

THE BOSSMAN DON'T LOVE ME LIKE YOU DO: A bluegrass tune written about the slow realization that you spend more time with your coworkers than your loved ones and the resentment that grows with that epiphany.

GROCERY WARS: A genre and time signature bending 3 part swinger. Times are tough, bread is $10. People either live in tents or castles.

WAKE UP IN THE MORNING (WANNA DIE): A country blues song about waking up on the superwrong side of the bed. An autobiographical tale about waking up weird before going to your osteopath.

Recorded May 4th 2024 in Gravenhurst, Ontario by Rob Currie

Jim Fitzgerald: Vocals, Harmonicas, Jug, Kazoo

Sean Patrick: Banjo, Vocals, Whistling

Jessica Martin: Fiddle, Vocals

Nate Robertson: Frankenrig Percussion, Glockenspiel, Vocals
