The Bookends are back with their second studio record, Chapter Two, following their 2020 debut, Chapter One, and acclaimed 2023 live album A Celtic Celebration: with the Stratford Symphony Orchestra. This JUNO and Canadian Folk Music Awards-nominated group continue to expand their modern Celtic sound on their latest release with original compositions “Alles Klar”, “Over The Hill”, and fan-favourite “Greystones”, as well as their own unique arrangements of modern and traditional Celtic tunes. Of particular note is the final track on the record, “Crested Hens”, a unique take on a bourée by French composer Gilles Chabenat, featuring special guest UK drummer Robert Brian and the brilliant, young Canadian multi-instrumentalist Owen Davey on Hammond B3 organ.

The Bookends, based in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, will be celebrating 10 years together in 2027 and are comprised of Errol Fischer (fiddle, banjo), Cait Watson (whistle, flute), Miriam Fischer (piano, accordion), Pete Watson (guitar, bouzouki, bass), and Newfoundland native Romano Di Nillo (bodhrán). Chapter Two was predominantly recorded at EMAC Recording Studios (London, Canada) and TrewStudio (Stratford, Canada), as well as sessions at NAM Studios (Bath, UK) and Black Creek Studio (Sebringville, Canada) between June 2022 and September 2026.
