The Glenn McFarlane Trio: Living in the Moment

The Glenn McFarlane Trio is proud to announce the release of their first album, “Living in the Moment”. As the title implies, the songs deal with subjects such as living life to the fullest, aging gracefully, and having a lot of fun along life’s journey. The pieces vary considerably in musical styles, including pop, rock (rock and roll and psychedelic!), blues, folk (even an inland sea shanty!), a country cover, 4 songs with world music influences, and a 6-minute remake of his classic Maritime Rap song Lobster Roll.
Glenn hails originally from New Brunswick and now makes his home in Brampton, Ontario. A veteran performer, Glenn is an award-winning songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist and President and co-founder of the Brampton Folk Club. He has toured his native province of New Brunswick three times. His 7th CD, “Living in the Moment”, is his first with the Glenn McFarlane Trio, featuring David Maynard on bass and his brother Keith McFarlane on percussion.
With Glenn, you get a high-energy, well-paced set of primarily fun and funny original folk songs from his CDs. His well-crafted originals have a sing-a-long familiarity to them that gets the audience involved. You will be entertained!
The trio have lined up several CD Release concerts:
- Oct. 1st – PAMA, Brampton
- Oct. 17th – Folk Canada Conference, Hamilton
- Oct. 30th – Opening for James Gordon and Ian Bell, Brampton
