Lynne Hanson: Invisible

I don’t know if you’ve ever felt invisible - not gone, not lost, just somehow overlooked. Like standing in full light and still fading at the edges. This song grew out of that feeling. It moves on a low, droning acoustic pulse that feels almost like a heartbeat you can’t quite steady, with producer Jim Bryson weaving in textures that shimmer and disappear just as quickly. It’s quieter than some of my songs, but it lingers - a ghost in the room, a question without an answer - reaching out from the margins, hoping to be seen.

I also have to share a bit about the artwork, because it feels really special to me. It was created by the daughter of a dear friend - Zoe Vaillant, who is just 17 and already such a thoughtful, intuitive artist. When I first saw what she’d made, it honestly stopped me for a moment. There’s something in the way she captured the mood - a kind of quiet, searching feeling - that lines up so perfectly with the heart of the song. It’s not always easy to translate music into something visual, but she did it so effortlessly, and I feel incredibly lucky that her work gets to be part of this release.
