Portage @ Brampton Folk Club

The next Friday Folk Night will be February 27th when we present the Fiddle Supergroup Portage. Portage is a new “super-group” of five fiddlers and accompanists from across Canada, bringing you old and new traditions in a collective musical adventure. These high energy fiddlers are leaders in their stylistic fields, with roots in Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, the Prairies, Appalachia and the West Coast. Opening act: Celteclectic.


Advance tickets are just $22 and can be purchased:

  • From the City Box Office or in person at the Rose Theatre after noon on weekdays.

  • From St. Paul’s United Church (30 Main St. South) in person Monday mornings, Friday mornings, or all day Wednesdays.  


Advanced tickets can also be reserved through our Brampton Folk Club website or by calling the folk club hotline at 647-233-3655 or by emailing us at info@bramptonfolk.ca. We’ll also have tickets available at our folk club meetings on Monday. You can also reply to this email to reserve tickets.


The concert will be held at Sanderson Hall, in the upper level of St. Paul’s United Church, 30 Main St. South, Brampton. It runs from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m. Come hungry and enjoy our yummy desserts and drinks!


The concert is wheelchair accessible and free parking is available at City Hall as well as the condo at 6 John St across from the church.
