Ready & Emerging Artist Development Incubator (READI) Program

Presented by Réseau SPARC Network

Panorama Room

The READI Program is for artists of all ages and genres to gather for an intensive day of training, peer sharing, mentorship, and community building before the Folk Music Ontario Conference fully kicks off. These sessions are only for those participating in the READI program.

Developing Artist Program (DAP)

The Developing Artist program starts bright and early! These sessions are for those participating in the Developing Artist Program only.

  • 9:30AM - 10:30 AM - Craft of Songwriting, Cowriting, and Pitching

Don't miss this spectacular event, being held right down the street at Canada's National Arts Centre! Please note: this event is sold out, so if you did not already RSVP, there is no more space at the awards ceremony itself. Join us on Thursday, October 16, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM in the Ballroom Foyer at the Delta Ottawa City Centre for a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with Québec artists and industry attending the conference.

Join your fellow FMO delegates for our curated networking dinners at some of Ottawa’s top restaurants. These small-group meals are a chance to unwind after the day’s events, connect with colleagues in a relaxed setting, and enjoy a specially prepared menu highlighting each venue’s signature dishes - all timed so that you can be back at the hotel in time for the Official Showcases! We are once again thrilled to offer our free on-site childcare program, Little Folkers, available to all FMO conference delegates. Childcare will be provided during the daytime on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (October 16–18). The Little Folkers room will be staffed according to need, so we ask that you let us know your exact childcare requirements in advance using the signup form. If you have any questions, please contact us.
